During our Holiday in Ireland we only pre-booked the Kilbeggan Distillery. Along the way it turned out we came across more opportunities with regards to Whiskey related topics. I was fortunate enough that we could include them in our travel schedule.

The Jameson Experience - Midleton

At the Old Jameson Distillery in Dublin we learned that the actual distillery was now located in Midleton. When traveling towards Cork we passed Midleton and we took the exit to have a quick stop at the The Jameson Experience.

It turned out that this is now called the Old Midleton Distillery. At this location production was "stopped on a Friday afternoon, and on Monday morning resumed at the new location" This is called the New Midleton Distillery and located next door. If there are tours available at the New Midleton Distillery I do not know and did not investigate.
When we entered the Old Midleton Distillery we learned that the tour is more or less the same as in Dublin, only now to scale with actual equipment from the days of production. As my girlfriend is not a Whisk[e]y drinker and already went on two tours with me we did not bother to take this tour. In stead we took some pictures at the premises.

A quick stop inside for some pictures of the interior and we were on our way to Cork for further adventures.
